Classroom Drama

Year 7 complete an introduction to Drama in their first year at Asquith Boys High School. Students study a variety of topics with a focus on establishing strong dramatic skills and an appreciation of developing circus skills.

Drama is an elective subject in Year 8 and students develop their confidence as an actor and an emphasis is placed on developing their improvisation skills and collaborating with their peers.

The elective composite Year 9/10 Drama class seeks to develop further their improvisation skills, study the history of drama through the ages, physical theatre, and playbuilding. Students will rehearse and perform at the schools' annual Music and Drama (MAD) Night.

Throughout the Preliminary and HSC courses, students develop skills, culminating in performing a Group Performance, presenting an Individual Project, and completing a HSC written exam.
